Meet The Author

K. A. Cross Presents...

Avery E. Greene

About Avery

Avery is a wife and mother of one little girl, who keeps her really busy. For as long as She can remember she has loved stories and reading how people can create something that drags you in. Reading is her passion and she adores romance in any form. When she has any spare time she loves swimming, listening to music, and watching movies. Most of the time she plays the role of chauffeur for her little one, but for a moment at the end of each day she tries to immerse herself in reading and writing. Her dream is to finally create her very own stories to help readers float away.

1. When did you first realise you wanted to be a writer?

I've always enjoyed, reading and writing but never had the opportunity to pursue it until now, I guess I was also a little worried I wouldn't be any good, but with a bit of of support and push I finally did what I always wanted to do.

2. In what kind of environment do you work best in?

I work at home, usually with some soft music playing to give me inspiration.

3. What's your favourite thing about being a writer?

I like the idea of being able to create stories that provide an escape for anybody.

4. How did you come up with the idea for your latest book?

I was actually listenening to a beautiful song which made the idea come to life in my head, I'm not sure how it will turn out, it's a working progress.

5. Do you ever base your characters on people you know?

Not as yet, but that may be an option in the future.

6. Do you ever wish that some of your characters were real?

Oh God Yes. My debut book's main character Summer, falls for Mason Stone, and I really wish I could bring him to life.

7. What do your family and friends think about your book/s?

My husband is proud, he knows how long I've wanted to do something but felt like I couldn't. I'm grateful to have family support.

8. Do you plan out your books or do you just go with the flow?

A little of both, I work out idea's and characters beforehand then work the story around them.

9. If you could ask a character from any book a question, who would it be and what would you ask?

Goodness, that's hard. I love reading and I adore the characters in most books, but I would probably ask a character like Gideon Cross, Christian Grey or Jesse Ward, why it couldn't be me the fell in love with? lol.

10. Who is your favourite author?

I can't answer that, I read so many books and each one is unique, as a result I have a great amount of respect for all authors. Obviously I read books from well known authors but I love finding gems from unknown authors.

Seasons Of Fate

My life had been difficult, I had dealt with emotional and physical abuse for years, but fate finally decided to step in and introduce me to the life I should have always had, with the person who made me whole and who woke me up.
Mason's life had been great, his family was loving and supportive. He had the dream career, but being in the spotlight was not his idea of the perfect life, practically a recluse, fate decided now was his time.
When Mason Stone meets Summer Clarke, it's fate, but can Mason win the heart of the only woman he's ever met who makes him feel alive, will Summer let him? Or is she too broken to know the signs? Can fate really bring you to the one you were always supposed to love.
